StoryBoard Express is a professional, ultra-fast storyboarding tool — free to use, with no account or subscription required. Optimised for desktop, fully compatible on mobile and all platforms.

About StoryBoard Express

StoryBoard Express is a professional web application for building storyboard layouts from photos and video, analysing films shot by shot, organising and duplicating images, and exporting polished storyboard pages. It runs entirely in your browser with no installation required.

In Premium mode, users unlock advanced analysis parameters, manual marker placement, full-resolution exports, and full commercial usage rights. Productions and studios interested in a custom or white-label version can reach JK Design via the contact form.

1. Acceptance

By using StoryBoard Express ("the Application"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Application.

2. Service Description

StoryBoard Express is a free, browser-based storyboarding and film analysis tool. All media is processed locally on your device. No user data or files are stored on any server. The application is compatible with all modern browsers on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

3. Free Access & Advertising

The Application is available free of charge and is supported by advertising. A Premium mode is available that unlocks additional features and full commercial usage rights.

4. Export Licenses

All storyboard exports include a license file that defines your rights over the exported content. Two license tiers apply depending on your current mode:

Basic License (free mode)

Exported content is licensed for personal, educational, and non-commercial use only.

Permitted: private projects, learning, internal drafts, non-monetized creative work.
Prohibited: client work, advertising, marketing, paid productions, or any commercially oriented activity.
Commercial use requires upgrading to Premium.

Storyboard Express does not claim ownership over generated content. The platform acts solely as a creative tool.

Premium License

Exported content is licensed with full commercial usage rights. All rights, title, and interest in the generated storyboard content are exclusively owned by the user who created it.

Permitted: client work, advertising, paid productions, commercial projects of any kind.
Storyboard Express does not claim any ownership over generated content.

The user remains solely responsible for ensuring that imported content (images, references) does not infringe third-party rights.

A copy of the applicable license is automatically included in every export ZIP alongside a link to storyboard-express.com.

5. AI-Generated Content

Storyboard Express may include features powered by artificial intelligence. AI-generated outputs may be non-unique and are not guaranteed to be original, exclusive, or free from third-party rights. The user is solely responsible for verifying the suitability and legal compliance of any AI-generated material before use or distribution.

6. Custom Licensing

Productions, studios, and organisations requiring a custom, branded, or integrated version of StoryBoard Express may contact JK Design to discuss tailored development and licensing agreements.

7. Intellectual Property

All content you import or create remains entirely your own, subject to the license tier in effect at the time of export. The Application — including its code, interface, and assets — is the property of JK Design. Unauthorised reproduction or redistribution is prohibited.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Application is provided "as is" without warranty. JK Design shall not be liable for data loss or damages arising from its use. Always maintain backups of your work.

9. Platform Compatibility

StoryBoard Express is primarily optimised for desktop use (Windows, macOS, Linux). It is also developed for full mobile compatibility across iOS and Android, providing a consistent experience on all screen sizes and platforms.

11. Modifications

JK Design may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
